MEET BRYCE
New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
My name is Bryce Berry, and this is my journey that has shaped my commitment to positive change in Georgia's 56th District. Born into a proud union household in St. Louis, MO, I was raised with the core values of hard work, integrity, and respect, instilled by my parents.
At the age of 13, a pivotal moment occurred in my hometown when the tragic shooting of Michael Brown unfolded just blocks from my childhood home. This event fueled my desire for change and led me to the frontlines of the Black Lives Matter movement during the Ferguson uprising. Through collective efforts, we achieved significant milestones, including the election of Ferguson's first Black mayor and substantial improvements in local education and healthcare.
Post-high school, my journey brought me to Atlanta, where I continued my commitment to transformative work. Serving as a state youth leader for President Biden and Vice President Harris' 2020 election, I then took on the role of Deputy Political Director for the 2022 Coordinated Campaign, contributing to the successes of Senator Raphael Warnock and Leader Stacey Abrams. Since 2022, I've proudly served as President of the Young Democrats of Georgia, actively driving youth organizing efforts while pursuing my major in Economics at Morehouse College.
Now living in the historic neighborhood of English Avenue and a member of the Antioch North Baptist Church, I serve as a Middle School Math teacher in Atlanta Public Schools. As I step up to represent the aspirations of a generation, I am running to become the first Gen Z member of the Georgia State House of Representatives. My goal is clear – to swing open the doors of opportunity for every resident in Georgia's 56th District. Recognizing the weight of history in our present moment, I firmly believe in our collective power to seize opportunities, bring forth results, and secure victory for the people I am committed to serving.
Join me in this transformative journey for a brighter future!
Sincerely,
Bryce Berry
